Who’s Using Your ID?

Who’s Using Your ID?

Hope you will take the time to read this lengthy message today. It’s important. It’s not one of my usual upbeat messages. Yet, it’s so important for you to know this information, personally and professionally.

Most of you know that besides being CEO of Get Clients Everywhere, I have been a Director with LegalShield for nearly 22 years, and I want to share some information that will make a difference for you. In fact, I’ve been very well-trained in the world of Identity Theft and Sensitive Information, leading corporate compliance trainings in this subject to many businesses and organizations throughout the country. I have some insight and information to consider.

I have done some work today on the Equifax data breach. And, even though this event is huge and currently in the news, our own personal identifying information  (PII) has been compromised for many years, in multiple ways. Yes, since we were born.

In fact, if you listen to the news, you’re left to think that the only way identity theft and data breaches affects you is in the area of your credit. It is not. Credit Identity Theft is the smallest portion of all ID theft. Criminals do not want your credit, though it would be nice. Rather, they want your life!

1)  You can find the facts about this breach here: FTC https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/blog/2017/09/equifax-data-breach-what-do

2)  If you are an IDShield Member, and if you call Kroll, expect longer than usual wait times. They are inundated with calls right now.

3)  Kroll’s standard message is to put a fraud alert (not a freeze) on your credit files(they will do it for you for free.) However, if you are applying for a mortgage or refinancing they recommended NOT doing the fraud alert. Or, if you need to access credit in a hurry due to floods, hurricanes, etc., you need to have credit now. A freeze at this time is not wise.

4)  All of the services that Kroll provides are in full force, and members need not be any more worried or concerned than before. Kroll has our back. Most likely, you will have to do some of the work, and they will guide you, direct you, or tell you what or what not to do.

5)  If you or a member want to confirm or otherwise whether they are part of the 145 million effected they should go to https://www.equifaxsecurity2017.com and put in their last name and last 6 digits of SSN.

6)  If you are included you will get a confirmation message, and you can click to enroll in their free monitoring. Note: They just told you that your information was compromised. So, you already know you’ve been compromised. They offer you the monitoring because it is now the law for them to offer it to customers. (This is true of all businesses.)

I’ve already had people enrolling today, and HR Directors have been contacting me on behalf of their employees to see what they can do to help.

If you are not an IDShield Member, and you’d like to become a Member, it’s easy to enroll. Individuals pay only $9.95 / month. Families pay $19.95 / month, covering a spouse and children. It is tax-deductible for business owners.

I invite you to go to my site at www.mfratoni.legalshieldassociate.com and click on IDShield. Look at all they cover and do for our Members. They fix the problem, and use Licensed Criminal Investigators who work with you until the issue is resolved. I was a victim of Medical ID Theft a few years ago. I was denied Medical Insurance for 4 months due to misinformation in my medical records. I used Kroll to expunge erroneous personal information locked into the Medical Information Board (M.I.B.), and had LegalShield write letters to the MIB and to the Medical Insurance Company that denied me. It took 4 months…not a good stretch of time to be without medical coverage.

Six Types of ID Theft:

*Drivers License
*Social Security
*Medical ID Theft
*Character and Criminal

Please reach out if I can help you in any way.  Kroll Credit Services, the strongest leader in this space, is trained to handle all types of ID Theft….for you, as part of your IDShield. Remember to “activate” your IDShield, so that Kroll can do its work for you. Yes, you may add it to your active LegalShield Membership.

Being High-Touch in a High-Tech World

Being High-Touch in a High-Tech World

Webinars, Shwebinars, Social Media, Twitter, Pinerest, Facebook…..it’s endless. Free this, free that, the internet is chock full of information. And, it’s available to us all. There is never a lack of information, and all you need to do is type in the subject matter in the “search button”. Voila! The information you requested appears for you to gobble up and utilize immediately.

Sometimes it’s easier to stay at home, work from home, see clients from home, and then we get homebound. Not so good. We forget what it’s like to be with people. People buy our services. People buy us. And according to the popular song made famous by Barbra Streisand….”People who need People are the luckiest people in the world.” So true. As entrepreneurs, we need people. This is High-Touch.

Today, an antidote to the clutter of the web, is a Signature Talk which you design and can be given anywhere your target audience attends. Do you have one? Have you designed one? Is it effective?

I’m often told by people that they have a signature talk or presentation. People tell me, “I’m comfortable speaking in front of groups.” But the truth is, most people are ill-prepared for such an important marketing strategy for their business. They are talented, smart, and would deliver a great service. However, most miss the mark in creating, delivering and monetizing from their presentations. They have simply not been trained and coached. They are not practiced, don’t know how to use a/v, a mic, or how to engage manage a room. They remain in monologue, lifeless. This can be a simple fix, and you’re worth it.

During my lengthy career, I’ve spent a significant time teaching workshops and coaching corporate executives on the fine art of “Executive Presentation Skills”. I used to work for a company in Boston that was the leader in this field, and my clients came from Delta, The Coca-Cola Company, Eli Lily, Proctor and Gamble, Sharp, Merck….bla bla bla. It was great fun. And, I’ve been giving presentations, delivering training, and facilitating workshops for my entire career. I have developed a muscle. I am effective. And, I’d like to help you, get more clients, make more money and live with more freedom and joy…..by helping you craft a talk/presentation that delivers!

I’ve loved providing this service in a VIP Day with clients, and celebrate with them as they share the results. The day focuses on you, organizing your message, highlighting your unique system, engaging your crowd, developing and extending your offer….and all the little details that make the difference.

I invite you to reach out to me and schedule a complimentary Cash Infusion Call, focusing our time on your speaking and your message. My stand is that Entrepreneurs Prosper.  Speaking is a tool that leads to prosperity, and making your impact. Your future depends on you! Your clients are waiting for you! I’m ready to serve you. Let’s link arms and do this.

Cold-Calling: Overcoming Phone-a-phobia

Cold-Calling: Overcoming Phone-a-phobia

To cold call or not to cold call, that is the question!  Some say cold calling is dead. I say cold calling can be just one of an entrepreneur’s sales strategies. It is one bow in the quiver of sales tools that every entrepreneur should employ as they build their business. As part of a well-rounded marketing and sales strategy, it can suddenly surprise you when you get to take a “next action”, or even get the long-desired “yes”!

Cold calling is a crapshoot. You either get somewhere, or you don’t. So, if you are someone who envisions success, then why not see yourself successful. Progress fuels productivity. In fact, some days I think cold calling is actually fun. Why, you ask? Because I say it’s fun! Life shows up in our view, so create a happy, joyful and successful view and give it a whirl. Have fun, play with wild abandon, and of course, do not be attached to the outcome. You just might end up with a very profitable day!

I once had a friend who wore a silly hat, a court jester’s hat, when he had to smile and dial. He did this to take all significance out of what he was doing. He was intentional, success-oriented, but wanted to lighten up his “fear factor” and call reluctance syndrome. I loved that idea! So, in the past, I’ve worn silly noses, placed sticky note hearts along the border of my lap top monitor, and did a silly dance to get myself into “state” before I began my calls. Yes, I was afraid. Mindset plays a big part of getting ourselves ready to pick up the phone. So why not create a state of readiness and being of service.

Most of us have no problem if our phone rings, but it’s a very different feeling when we hold the dial pad in our hands. Let’s look at some ways to overcome our phone-a-phobia!

  • Know who you are calling and why. Be sure they fit inside of your ideal target market.
  • Be clear on the purpose of your call. Is it to set an appointment? Request a speaking engagement? Offer a product or service?
  • Be upbeat and “smile” through the phone lines. Enthusiasm is catchy!
  • Bring a sense of play and joy to the exercise of calling. Just do it to do it.
  • Be clear on what to “ask” at the end of your call. Have a next action ready to suggest.
  • Be purposeful in turning your cold call into a warm possibility.
  • Be prepared for rejection. No’s are clear, and there is always an “ask” after a no is received.
  • Create an incredibly powerful conversation opener.  Delivering this opening line with confidence and ease, will determine how the rest of the call will go.
  • Never start with “I’m so sorry to interrupt you….”. Rather, “I’m excited to share….”
  • Don’t rely on cold calls as your main sales tactic. It’s only one method of many that are available for us today. Use them as a beneficial part of your overall marketing and sales strategy.
  • Be willing to have fun, be generous and make a difference, regardless of the outcome!
Find Joy in Your Career

Find Joy in Your Career

Do you often find yourself upset and stressed about your business day? You stroll into the office with a cup of java in your hand ready to greet the day and make your difference in the world. You’ve got great plans to accomplish many things today. And then, for whatever reason the day begins to unravel and takes on a different flow than you planned, bringing you upset, angst and stress. A scheduled appointment changes, the power goes out, you have a dreaded virus on your computer, and you lost some very important notes. You even start to wonder if you are really cut out for this business/career. And the slippery slope appears. Can you relate?

Take a moment to pause and remember the excitement and energy you felt as you began your business, or started in that new position. Creativity abounds, you experience endless energy, passion and commitment. You learn new things, create new strategies, meet new people, and expand your reach. It’s a time to remember and savor these thoughts and restore yourself to your purpose and who you are.

You have the ability to control your attitude and determine how your business day goes. It’s a matter of how you respond to whatever comes your way in any moment of the day. Choose joy. Bring joy to each conversation. Give your time freely. Smile. Create a Vision Board of the things, people, activities that bring you joy. Ask your clients and colleagues what brings them joy. When you shift your focus towards joy, then joy is what you’ll have.

Make it a joyful day!

Ouch! Growing Pains!

Ouch! Growing Pains!

I guess it’s a good thing to experience growing pains. Isn’t it? That must mean that you’re growing, right? I can assure you that Get Clients Everywhere is growing, evolving, and getting a few bruises from time to time. It’s normal…..right? The important thing to know is that ,yes, growing pains are normal. We all bump into our self-imposed boundaries from time to time, and feel the pain of frustration, confusion, and thwarted growth. However, we must keep moving through the pain, adjust course, think and act strategically and always keep the faith. And a sense of humor!

Running a business is like pushing a truck uphill. Once we stop pushing, we may start to slip backwards. When our business is growing, we need to continuously find our next clients, sign the next contract, and hire the next team player, like a VA or Admin. If we let go of our focus, then gravity rolls us back. There are always things that need to be done in order to keep moving, to ensure our growth is healthy and thriving. I’ve heard it said that “When you are green you’re growing, and it you aren’t growing then you are dying on the vine.”

Any business will experience challenges as they grow. You can count on it. Growing pains might be just the sign you need to get you back on the path to success. This is the perfect time to hire a Coach, a seasoned professional who is farther along the path to success than you. It’s the perfect time to invest in your business, counter to what you might think. This is the time when our business needs to be in expansion, not contraction. And the time to let that Coach hold your vision with you, and provide support, guidance, direction, and love. Coaches can help you find your balance point, and keep the state of your well-being intact as you grow.

Have you considered working with a Coach? Why not take that positive step? Commit to your success, and give up being “the lone ranger”. It’s much more fun, enjoyable and success comes quicker when you align yourself with the right Coach. The right Coach is a good pain reliever.

I’d love to help you grow your business. Let’s hold a complimentary Business Breakthrough Session together! Let’s do this!

The 5 P’s to Deliver Profitable Presentations

The 5 P’s to Deliver Profitable Presentations

For most people, the thought of speaking in public simply scares the _____out of them!   Yes, it ranks very high on the Stress Scale, and causes confident, successful people to be in the swirl of anxiety, fear, and sweaty palms and arm pits.   I’ve even seen people faint and blank out….Ok, so some of these symptoms are drastic and extreme, yet, this can happen to anyone.

As entrepreneurs, leaders, and change agents, we must get our message out to our audience and tribe.   We do this because we care.  Our message drives us, especially for mission-based businesses.  Some of us meet our clients through speaking, both on-line and off-line, and we can choose to speak in formal presentations or at informal gatherings with one or more people.

Regardless, it is imperative that you have a clear message and that you have done the work to deliver it with a level of mastery that is recognized.   Or else, you will be recognized as someone ill-prepared and unprofessional.

A little-known fact about me….during the 80’s I led workshops in Executive Presentation Skills to Fortune companies in the U.S.  I was trained by the best of the best at the time, national leaders, and then I led customized workshops to corporate clients who were members of the Human Resources Consulting Association that I worked for.   It was a different time in life, and long before the internet and PowerPoint.   Currently, I have been working on my own presentations, a signature talk, online programs, and honing my message while converting new clients from these talks.   I have been hosting women entrepreneurs for 7 years as they present their message and make their offers to the WPDN audience in ATL.   I’ve invested a lot in my training and coaching so that I can make a difference for you.

I’m committed that entrepreneurs are profitable!  If we are not profitable, and don’t have enough money, clients, and transformation, then that is just sad! We make no impact.   Presentations lead to clients and profits.  So many of you are leaving thousands of dollars on the table

To get you started, here are my 5 P’s to Deliver Profitable Presentations:

  1. Purpose of the Presentation  –    Get a clear intention, and define the purpose and end game of your  message. Why are you giving this presentation? How will people be impacted?  How do you want to leave the audience?  And what is your “call to action”?
  2. Prepare  –   Map out your message, talking points, and have it be audience-focused. Don’t take 20 min. talking about you, your story, and your background.  Give this section approximately three minutes, for you need to establish credibility, and yet hold the attention of your audience.  What is your sequence of sharing information?   What must you include and exclude?  You can easily spot a newbie for they ramble, use notes or index cards and don’t seem connected to their message.   Do the work.  Honor your audience.  Be with your audience.
  3. PowerPoint or not? –   Using slides can be a plus. They are a “visual aid”, not the entire presentation.   In a lengthy presentation it’s a gift to your audience, especially if you plan to teach or impart important information.  If you have 20 minutes or less, I’d avoid using slides or any technology except for a microphone.   Slides should be branded, and professionally done.   And they can be used in online presentations and webinars, too.   Make sure they can be seen, read, and that they are short and to the point.  No mouse-print!
  4. Practice –   Practice, practice and practice again!  Practice leads to profits.   Be prepared and polished, and that you can deliver this presentation on the fly, in a pinch, or despite what happens with technology.   Use one card or paper for reference, but never ever, every read your presentation.   It disconnects you from your audience and that is who you came to connect with.
  5. Profit –   Craft a meaningful “offer”, either a free offer or low-ticket offer.   Make it easy for people to register or purchase it, and give yourself enough time to position the offer with your audience.   This takes planning, practicing and it’s so vitally important.  This is where you get to deliver your transformation and make your impact.

If you would like guidance and support as you craft your message, signature talk, or sales presentation, please contact me.   Don’t postpone your profitability, joy and success!   Let’s do this, so you, too, can get clients everywhere!

Nine Foolish Mistakes People Make When Starting a Business

Nine Foolish Mistakes People Make When Starting a Business

Starting a business can be both exciting and overwhelming. Inevitably, we all make mistakes but remembering these nine tips can help you avoid some of the pitfalls along the way.

  1. Blindly jumping into a business without doing the research to know if there will be a viable market for the product or service.
  2. Investing too little, and not making “good” investments, one that do have a high ROI
  3. Selling to people who really don’t want what you are selling. This is a common pitfall when people are told that their product/service is good for “anyone”.
  4. Being inauthentic in your business, and having to put on an “act”, just to generate income. Usually this survival mechanism will lead ultimately to becoming frustrated, exhausted and broke.
  5. Investing too much in your business without reaping any ROI.
  6. Thinking that you don’t need an Attorney. You have a friend, or you’ll “google it”, or find documents at a business supply store, all which will short-change you and potentially leave you vulnerable and unprotected.
  7. Spending too much time on “non-income producing activities”, i.e. filing, working on your website. “Income-producing activities” are having sales conversations with prospects, attending networking events and programs where you will meet prospective clients.
  8. Creating a “home-bound” business versus a “home-based” business.
  9. Toughing it and “going it alone”, rather than hiring an experienced Coach who can pull you  forward and speed up your path to success and profit.
Are you a Magnetic Professional?

Are you a Magnetic Professional?

Have you ever thought about how people, projects, jobs, clients are drawn to you?   What types of behavior and attributes create that connection that draws people to you?  I’ve been thinking, and I’ve taken a close look at professionals that I admire, and took an inventory of what has me attracted to them and their work.   I’ve listed a few qualities and attributes that I think demonstrate a “magnetic professional”.   I hope you see some value here for yourself.

Authenticity:  Being real and truthful about who you are and what you have to offer. Others will respond positively to your honest demeanor and transparency.  Drop the pretense, stop  hiding and be who you are.

Confidence:  Demonstrate your success, and share your successes through stories, anecdotes, and testimonials. No need to know everything about everything, but you can communicate that you will find a way to get things done.  Confidence is an air, an attitude, and attribute for magnetism, and it comes from a string of successes.

Eloquence:  Use words effectively when you speak, and use language of success. Magnetism depends not only on what you say, but how you say it. Your pacing, tone and facial expressions speak volumes.  Reveal your genuine emotions through your voice.   Practice, and request feedback.

Energy:  People become enthusiastic when they around a high-energy individual. As a magnetic professional, you need to be on the move doing whatever is needed to propel your career forward. Don’t be content to allow things to happen, rather initiate actions to maintain forward movement.   Energy creates more energy.

Inspirational:  A magnetic professional attracts attention and inspires others easily to take action through their leadership.

Present:  Listen attentively and be present with another person to increase your level of magnetism. People are naturally fond of those who take the time to hear their concerns, ambitions and ideas. Be willing to be noticed.

Optimistic:  A positive outlook is very attractive to others. You can be magnetic if you simply determine to keep an optimistic mindset. Others will engage with you if they witness your “bright side” approach to even the most difficult of situations.   Remember, “There’s always a way….”.

Humorous:  Laugh about yourself and situations. Having a good sense of humor is a positive quality that attracts followers. You don’t have to be funny or witty per se, but you should be able to see the humor in life and business.

Become a savvy networker

How would you like to expand your network and grow your list?

Improve Your Business Posture Today!

Improve Your Business Posture Today!

What do you think of when you see someone who interacts with a client, prospect or audience with a slouching posture? Lack of confidence? No energy? Sloppy?

A “slouching posture” can affect our career trajectory, too. And, if we are not standing tall, using expressive gestures, and displaying confidence, then we send a message that keeps us from success. As we make contact with prospective clients and colleagues, everything about our “posture” matters. Posture is about positioning, and owning it! It’s about taking and being a “stand” for something!

To show you’re no “slouch”:

  1. Prepare to “be” positive, compelling, and have positive information to share. This will involve some research about the person, the company, the market they are in, etc. Find something that has you connect with each other.
  2. Smile and use an upbeat, genuine tone of voice. You don’t have to fake it, unless of course, you do. Avoid being doom and gloom, for it won’t get you anywhere, and the other person may quickly move away from you.
  3. Ask thought-provoking questions that have you both looking toward the future.
  4. Be sure about the value you offer to your clients and company. Get solid on why you or your product or company is “the one”. Speak that powerfully…..with panache!

Practice being the embodiment of strong posture by practicing in the mirror, or with another colleague for support. Any one of these items will define your posture as memorable and, more importantly, someone that is accomplished and successful. Do what it takes to posture yourself for success and fulfillment!
