Money Momentum: A Guide to Creating The Lifestyle you Desire

Does financial jargon make your head spin or bore you to tears? Is money too confusing, intimidating and depressing to understand or care about? Do you think that the nice looking man in the suit is judging your financial illiteracy rather than giving you objective advice with your best interests at heart?

STOP worrying and wondering! Learn the basics for a financial future that will protect you, your family and your business and provide the lifestyle you desire.

Debra will discuss elements of smart saving, spending, and investing activities to address debt, protect
credit, advantages of a written game plan and steps to financial security at every life stage so you can
learn how to have more understanding, more confidence, and more momentum toward your goals and
more money!

Debra Donaldson Scott

Debra is a native of Georgia who grew up on a working family farm with five siblings, earning her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Georgia, a Paralegal Certification from the National Center of Paralegal Training, and completing the Certified Financial Planning Program from the University of Georgia.  Her informal education through personal life experiences and losing a parent at a young age has provided valuable insight to understanding her clients’ concerns, struggles and needs financially.

She worked in the metropolitan Atlanta area as a corporate and litigation paralegal for many years then obtained her insurance and securities licenses in 2000.  Debra worked for Wachovia Bank as an officer and financial specialist until 2007 and currently has clients ranging from young professionals to the elderly, business owners, executives, creative artists, nurses and physicians, veterinarians, athletes, and their families.

Due to her background with corporate clients, commercial real estate transactions and litigation, Debra’s specialties are small business concerns, executive planning, and structured settlements.  However, she has a soft spot for working with clients, particularly women, who find themselves solely responsible for the finances of their businesses or families due to circumstances they did not anticipate such as illness, death or divorce.   Debra simplifies the fundamentals of planning for immediate, short term and long term financial goals and covers cash flow analysis, risk management, and investment planning including preparing for retirement, college and windfalls such as awards from lawsuits, inheritances, lucrative athletic and film contracts.

Debra lives in Atlanta with her husband, Neal, 2 rescue dogs and 2 rescue cats.  In addition to animals, she loves sports, travel, live music, and entertaining friends and family.
